Mike Risko Music has been working with the Pleasantville Cottage School providing group music classes and small musical productions since 2013. The collaboration with the Cottage School evolved from a series of workshops that were desgined to prepare a small group of singers for a yearly fundraiser. Today, students from PCS come to Mike Risko Music to learn guitar, piano and voice as well as rehearse for small productions. In working with these groups, we have been able to offer a positive, musical environment and help build self esteem. They not only learn music but about making great accomplishments through music. We hope that these lessons will carry over into their every day life and help provide a bright future.

PCS comes to us each week for classes.
We always make sure they are working towards a performance. Last year we invited our customers to come see them perform. The singers were thrilled to get flowers from audience members.
In addition to voice classes, there are multiple guitar and piano classes that come to us each week.
One of the groups worked on a small musical. We met with them once each week to rehearse.
Dress rehearsals and the performances were held on their campus.
The actors and actresses were so excited to be able to have costumes and props for their production.
The best part about doing a show is learning about team work.
